Slideshows of Memories began a few years back, when I decided to compile photo albums for my 6 siblings as Christmas gifts. Boy, was that a job!! After sorting through and collecting all the photographs, multiple copies had to be printed so there were enough copies of each photo for everyone. Then I had to find the right size albums and purchase 6 of those. Finally, it literally took hours to slide all the photographs into those plastic sleeves in the six albums. Needless to say, the job wasn’t completed until late on Christmas Eve!! Don’t get me wrong, everyone absolutely loved the albums and I believe they will always treasure them.
Since that time, I have learned that photo albums are “so last year” and DVD slideshows are the way to go. There is nothing more unique than watching your photographs come to life on TV as they fade in and out with synchronized background music you choose. The experience is both moving and unforgettable.
That is what Slideshows of Memories can do for you.
We take the hassle out of sharing your photographs. All you need to do is give us your photographs or slides along with your music choices and we do the rest! Before long, you will have a musical DVD photo album that you can simply pop into your TV DVD player, sit back and enjoy the memories! Now, just take a look at all those old family photos and slides you have sitting around in albums and boxes. Imagine being able to give every member of your family a copy of those photos with very little time or effort. With Slideshows of Memories it’s as good as done. We can create multiple copies for you to give as gifts for any special occasion. You would certainly be giving the gift that “keeps on giving” for generations to come.
I have created slideshows for a wide variety of occasions including: 70th birthdays, 1st birthdays, 50th wedding anniversaries, graduations, weddings, and many memorial shows for local funeral homes. The possibilities are simply endless! My niece recently visited from Ireland. Before she left, I gathered all the photographs taken of her during the trip and created a slideshow using Chicago-based songs as background music. It was a fun recap of her trip which she was easily able to take home and share with her classmates in Ireland. After participating in the Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk, I created a slideshow using photos taken during the walk and sold copies of those DVDs to raise money for breast cancer. Every event that you can capture in photographs, slides or video can be easily turned into a wonderful gift to share.
